A similar pair of firedogs belonged to the Richard Redding gallery. The cuirass and martial attributes are treated in a much more rocaille manner on another model, one of which is in the Getty Museum (71. DF. 114.1/2), while another belonged to the collection of Madame Anteñor Patino, sold by Sotheby's in Paris on September 22 and 23, 2010, lot 270.
