This model, with lions supporting a globe, is well known, and a pair is preserved at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (inv. 27174 A-B), donated by the family of collector Victor-Prosper Martin-Leroy (1842-1918). Another similar pair was sold at Christie's London on November 13, 2019, lot 3.
