Description

Comprising: a ring set with cabochon emeralds and a chrysoprase, accented by single-cut diamonds, size 511/2; a ring centering the profile of Ferdinand I, Tsar of Bulgaria framed by single-cut diamonds, applied with blue enamel, size 51; a ring set with a cabochon sapphire, size 50, Austrian assay mark for gold; a ring decorated with the cipher of Ferdinand I, Tsar of Bulgaria on a purple guilloche enamel ground, within a border of millegrain-set rose diamonds, size 491/2, partial Austrian maker’s and assay marks for gold, case stamped Edouard Foehr; an openwork brooch centering a star set with a circular-cut ruby and rose diamonds, partial Austrian maker’s and assay marks; an unmounted drop-shaped chrysoprase weighing 1.85 carats; and a collection of pendants including a red enamelled heart-shaped pendant, a pendant designed as a dog’s head, a pendant set with a Byzantine-style coin and a heart-shaped locket set with a cushion-shaped emerald and single-cut diamonds, opening to reveal two portrait photographs of World War I-era soldiers; partially illustrated.

The emerald, chrysoprase and diamond ring belonged to Princess Clémentine of Orléans, Princess of Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha-Kohary (1817-1907).
