inscribed légué a mme Ungemach Benedite en souvenir par A Rodin and with the foundry mark ALEXIS RUDIER. FONDEUR. PARIS. (on the back of the sculpture); stamped A. Rodin (on the interior)

Conceived in 1887; this example cast in 1917. The present work is from an edition of 3 cast by the Alexis Rudier Foundry, Paris in addition to at least 4 known examples.


This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2025-7320B.
