款識：澗泉嗚咽樹槎枒，夕照紅翻數點鴉。老屋數椽如栗里，東籬底事失黃華。學周東邨筆意，而古茂之趣殊別。安吉吳昌碩記。

〈樂山堂藏現代書畫〉（臺北，樂山堂，二〇〇六年七月），頁30、70
註︰畫中溪岸草堂，喬木環抱，煙靄撲人，題詩引陶靖節典故，可知寫歸隱山林之趣。畫家題謂學明人周臣筆意，攷東邨有〈宜晚圖〉，亦寫山齋隱逸，意趣與本幅契合，然其筆墨得力於劉松年、李唐，格局嚴整，風格峭勁，本幅卻以篆籀法寫之，用筆秀而不枯，濕筆點染，勾擦並用，流露大滌子痕迹，得瀟灑清泠之逸氣，此亦缶老謂「古茂之趣殊別」也，雖曰託古，實已汲前人法而獨開新貌矣！
