The NB mark is found on several Louis XV period commodes attributed either to Nicolas Bernard, received master in 1742, brother of cabinetmaker Pierre Bernard with whom he worked in their "Coq d'or" workshop, and trained by his uncle; or to Nicolas Berthelmi received master in 1735.
Few pieces by these two cabinetmakers are listed, but one example is a chest of drawers sold at Hôtel Drouot by Me Beaussant-Lefèvre on June 15, 2018, lot 110, given to Nicolas Bernard.
