bronze, set with garnets and glass, in a partially gilt wood frame

fibula: 7cm., 2¾in. 

frame: 16 by 14cm., 6¼ by 5½in.

Where acquired by Dr Ernst Boehlen, Bern

The present fibula relates, among others, to a pair in the Musée de Cluny, Paris, inv. nos. Cl. 3478 and 3479.
