A concertina album of prints by various artists
Edo - Meiji period, 19th century
the album comprising forty-nine prints, thirteen woodblock-print triptychs, an incomplete triptych, a woodblock print diptych and one painting, mounted as an album bound in accordion style, wood covers, variously signed and dated, various censor's and publisher's seals, and including:
Six woodblock prints from the series Military Brilliance for the Eight Views (Yobu hakkei), each signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga (Pictured by Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi), and with artist’s paulownia seal, censor’s seals Mera (Mera Ta'ichiro) and Watanabe (Watanabe Gentaro), published by Enshuya Hikobei, 7th month 1852, and comprising:
- Night Rain at Narumi (Narumi yau): Inagawa Yoshioto
- Clearing Weather at Horikawa (Horikawa seiran): Eda Genzo
- Twilight Snow at Ishiyama (Ishiyama bosetsu): Suzuki Shigeyuki
- Evening Bell at Todai-ji (Todai-ji bansho): Akushichibyoe Kagekiyo
- Autumn Moon at Gojo Bridge (Gojo shugetsu): Ushiwakamaru
- Returning Sails in the Ryukyu Islands (Ryukyu kihan): Minamoto no Tametomo
Six woodblock prints from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fuji sanjurokkei), signed Hiroshige ga (Pictured by Hiroshige), published by Tsutaya Kichizo (Koeido), 4th month 1858, and comprising:
- The Sumida River Embankment in Edo (Toto Sumida-zutsumi)
- The Seacoast at Hota in Awa Province (Boshu Hota no kaigan)
- Fuji Seen from the Left on the Tokaido Road (Tokaido hidari Fuji)
- The Sagami River (Sagamigawa)
- Otsuki Plain in Kai Province (Kai Otsuki no hara)
- Futami-ga-ura in Ise Province (Ise Futami-ga-ura)

- The Fashionable Genji in a Plum Blossom Garden (Furyu Genji sono no ume), triptych, the centre sheet signed Toyokuni ga (Pictured by Toyokuni) within toshidama cartouche, the left and right sheets signed Hiroshige hitsu (Brush of Hiroshige), censor’s seal aratame (certified), published by Iseya Kanekichi, 11th month 1853
- The Terrible Storm in Daimotsu Bay (Daimotsu no ura nanpu no zu), triptych, each sheet signed Issen Yoshikazu ga (Pictured by Issen Yoshikazu), censor’s seal aratame (certified), published by Maruya Jinpachi (Enjudo), 6th month 1860
- The Poetess Daini no Sanmi, from an untitled series of One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets (Hyakunin isshu), signed Ichiyosai Toyokuni ga (Pictured by Ichiyosai Toyokuni) and with toshidama seal, censor's seal Watari (Watanabe Shoemon), published by Sanoya Kihei (Kikakudo), circa 1842-46
- Englishman on horseback, from an untitled series of foreigners, signed Yoshitora ga (Pictured by Yoshitora), censor’s seal aratame (certified), published by Yama-shi, 1st month 1861
