款識：壬辰三月既望，蜀人張爰大千父。

鈐印：「張爰」、「大千」。

來源：紐約蘇富比，中國書畫拍賣，一九七八年九月，編號86

「父親不收藏當代畫作，但我一直喜歡張大千等當代大師之作。我在蘇富比圖錄中看到兩幅張大千的小畫，趁父親在紐約時展示給他看。拍賣那天，我照常去上班，當我回家時，其中一幅就放在我的餐桌上！原來父親去拍賣會買下這幅畫。」

My father didn’t collect contemporary paintings, but I have always liked works by contemporary masters such as Zhang Daqian. I saw two small paintings by Zhang in Sotheby’s catalogue and showed them to my father when he was in New York City. On the day of the auction, I went to work as usual, but when I returned home, one of the paintings was sitting on my dining table! My father had gone to the auction and bought this painting.
