Property from a Swiss Private Collection
AN ETRUSCAN BRONZE FIGURE OF A DISCOBOLOS, CIRCA 490-470 B.C
probably from the lid of a cinerary urn, standing with his right leg forward, holding the discus from behind in his right hand, and raising his left hand with slender fingers extended, his long hair rolled up and bound in a fillet.
Height as restored 12.5 cm.
