方貞觀(一六七九—一七四七),安徽桐城人,字南塘,號貞觀。寓秋聲館二十年,論詩多補益。著有《方貞觀詩集》,收入於《四庫禁毀書叢刊》。
方士偼(偼去亻旁加广字頭,念jié,一六九七—?),乃方士庶同母弟,字右將。居揚州事淮南鹽業,於揚州北郊壽安寺西邊築有西疇別業,又號西疇。方士庶曾為其繪《西疇蓮塘圖》。
孫殿齡(十九世紀),字蓮叔,安徽休寧人。北京故宮所藏惲壽平中歲山水傑作《高岩喬木》軸上有其收藏印記。
王耀庭在其文章《清方士庶〈仿董源夏山煙靄圖〉的畫緣與人緣》中提到「今日可見雍正甲寅(一七三四)年方士庶作〈仿董臨鵲華秋色圖〉,幅上未見有馬曰琯題此詩,可能是又一複本」。其實並非「又一複本」,而是王耀庭並未見過原作,馬氏兄弟的題詩就在本件拍品的左側裱邊上。也即,方士庶借觀馬氏兄弟所藏《董其昌臨鵲華秋色》後而回贈的《仿董臨鵲華秋色》軸,再經馬氏兄弟題詩的就是本件拍品。
