This spring, Sotheby's Hong Kong Fine Chinese Paintings is delighted to present a roster of remarkable masterpieces by leading artists hailing from important private collections. A significant highlight from the collection of Paul Chang’s children is Zhang Daqian’s Lady by the Lotus Screen, an exquisite and rare figure painting of remarkable composition. From the MK Lau Collection is Qi Baishi's monumental Goshawk on Towering Pine Tree, which measures at more than eight feet and is considered among one of the finest masterpieces from his oeuvre. The collection also includes significant works by renowned artists from Guangdong. Additionally, the sale features the debut of pieces from the highly acclaimed collection of Edward T. Chow, Wu Changshuo paintings formerly from the collection of Aoyama San’u, as well as an array of fine works by Lin Fengmian and Wu Guanzhong. 今春，香港蘇富比書畫拍賣將分為三個部份，分別為〈清氣娛懷—劉漢堃家族珍藏書畫〉、〈中國書畫〉，以及〈樂山堂存珍（二）：蔡一鳴藏中國書畫及藝術精品〉，呈獻近現代書畫合共二百六十餘幀，精彩紛陳。 〈中國書畫〉部份名家精品甚夥，兼具多個重要私人收藏。張葆蘿兒女藏之張大千工筆重彩〈荷花屏風仕女〉，構圖精妙，難得一見。「梅潔樓」藏齊白石〈松鷹〉逾八呎鉅幛，直抒胸臆，堪稱畢生力作，並有多幀廣東名家重要作品。此外，仇焱之家族藏畫、青山杉雨藏吳昌碩作品皆首度登場，同場亦集林風眠人物佳作及吳冠中作品多幀，琳琅滿目。
