Biography
Lucila Portoraro joined Sotheby’s Canada in 1994. As Vice President and Head of Sotheby’s Canada, Lucila is responsible for developing relationships with important collectors, advisors and institutions throughout Canada. Her primary role is assisting collectors looking to acquire or divest of important works of art and acting as their liaison with Sotheby’s specialists in Impressionist and Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Chinese Art, Old Master Paintings, Jewellery, Watches and many other collecting categories. Lucila partners with clients consigning to auctions in Sotheby’s salesrooms in New York, London, Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong, and facilitates private sale transactions, ensuring the best results are achieved for each individual. During her 28 year tenure with the company, Lucila has been entrusted in selling the most important collections sourced from Canada.
Lucila holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Toronto.
