Possibly Simon Johannes Stinstra (1673-1743);

Probably his great-grandson, Gooitjen Simons Stinstra (1763-1821);

Included in his designated Estate sale (named "S.J. Stinstra," possibly for his forebear), Amsterdam, De Vries, Brondgeest, Engelberts, and Roos, 22 May 1822, lot 76 (as Hans Holbein the Younger, "Een Jongeling in oud-Hollandische kleeding, met breede hoed en een met bont gevoerde mantel"1);

Where acquired by "de Vries," for 18 Florins;

Private collection, Northern France, by the 19th century;
