Showa period, 20th century


each a woodblock print, signed Hasui, sealed Kawase, and comprising:


- Snow at Hinoeda Shrine (Shato no yuki, Hinoedajinja), depicting two women approaching the inner precincts of a shrine in heavy set snow, titled in the lower left margin as above, publisher's circular seal to lower right corner Watanabe (Watanabe Shozaburo), dated Showa rokunen ganjitsu saku (made on New Year’s Day, 1931), post-war printing

- Morning in Dotonbori, Osaka (Osaka Dotonburi no asa), from the series Collected Views of Japan II, Kansai Edition (Nihon fukei shu II, Kansai hen), titled in blue ink to the bottom margin as above, publisher's mark (Hotei 'H', circa 1942-45) to lower left margin Watanabe mokuhan bijutsu gaho kosaku [Watanabe woodblock art shop design], dated Showa hachinen yongatsu saku (made in April 1933)

- Lake Kizaki, Shinshu (Shinshu Kizakiko), titled in blue-green ink to the left margin as above, publisher's circular seal to lower right corner Watanabe (Watanabe Shozaburo), dated Showa jurokunen saku (made in 1941), post-war printing
