Description
Two Egyptian Buffware Pottery Jars
Predynastic Period, Naqada II, 3400-3200 B.C.
each of broad globular form with twin pierced cylindrical handles, and painted in red over a buff slip, the body of one with vertical panels of horizontal wavy lines and the rim with three sets of tongues, the body of the other with spirals and the rim with lattices.
Heights 17 cm. and 16.2 cm.
