Private collection, Germany.
Condition
Minor surface dirt, notably in the crevices, and stable vertical hairline splitting visible in some places, consistent with the material. The traces of the tools visible on the back of Saint Sebastian could indicate that it was probably formerly leaning against a background. The Saint's thumb and index finger are missing to his upraised proper right hand. The arrows are missing with holes visible where they were attached. A small fixing hole is visible under the base, where the ivory was attached to a former stand. The later wood stand in good condition overall.
