  • 116cm. high, 70cm. wide, 38cm. deep; 3ft. 10 1/2 in., 2ft. 3 1/2 in., 1ft. 3in.
with fior di pesco marble tops, top opening to reveal a storage drawers and an arangement of six drawers, above a drawer with three shallow openings and the bottom area enclosing two drawers on top a storage area

Condition

This attractive pair of cabinets is in overall good conserved condition and is ready to place. Some minor old marks and scratches to the veneer, especially to the top slabs of the rear doors. One cabinet with a small losses of veneers: one to the bottom left side, one to the bottom of the left back leg and one to the bottom left on the front. The other cabinet with one vertical shrinking crack on the right side, running from the top for about 20cm long. The mounts are overall in good condition. The red leather surface with minor old marks and scratches. The bottom right door to one of the cabinets has lost its hinge. The marble tops are in an overall good condition. Four keys.

This secrétaire is after a small group of nearly identical pieces stamped by or attributed to Roger Vandercruse, dit Lacroix also known by his initials R.V.L.C. Amongst these is one secrétaire now in the collection of the Louvre (inv. no. OA10458). and in the collections of the Petit Palais (inv. no. ODUT1608), from the collection of Madame de Polès.
