comprising a Regency style brass and mesh 'Nursery Fender' by Ajax; a pair of Arts & Crafts brass andirons, circa 1900; a set of three Victorian brass fire-irons, in George III style; a pair of rivetted brass and copper peat buckets, 19th century with swing handles; a further small bucket of the same design; a brass and mesh three-fold fire guard; a steel poker and a pierced brass and steel strainer
Condition
Evidence of age and use. With old marks, ingrained dirt and wear as to be expected from a 'working' set. Guards generally good. The smallest of the peat buckets not polished. andirons 35cm. high pair buckets 35cm. high, 37cm. diam. three-fold fire guard 66.5cm. by 52.5cm. wide of central panel small bucket 30.5cm. high longest brass fireiron 61.5cm. steel poker 56.5cm strainer 68.5cm.
