- Both black chalk, within decorative ink and wash borders;both bear signature and date in black chalk, lower right: L. David / 1797both drawings extensively inscribed:

Condition
Both hinge mounted to a modern mount. Both drawn on a thick sheet of paper, with the framing lines and decorative border seemingly integral to the sheet. There is some slight discoloration to both sheets and some minor surface dirt and staining to the drawing depicting Berenice. The black chalk remains in fine condition throughout and the inscriptions completely legible. Sold unframed.
