suspending a seed pearl tassel, capped by old mine, old European and rose-cut diamonds, on a surmount composed of old European-cut diamonds and a pearl, the chain composed of three rows of seed pearls, spaced by openwork plaques set with old European-cut diamonds, signed YardL. 31 in.; 78.7 cm.Please note that the pearls have not been tested for natural origin
Condition
In good condition, with little wear to the mounting given the age of this piece. Mounting tests as platinum. The slide mechanism clasp composed of platinum and gold, and set with 4 round diamonds. The seed pearls in the tassel measuring approximately 2.8 to 1.6 mm; the seed pearls in the chain measuring approximately 2.6 to 2.4 mm; the seed pearls are of ivory body color with good skin and luster. The single pearl in the surmount measuring approximately 5.5 mm is of ivory body color, with strong green overtone, good skin and luster, with one pit. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 7.75 carats are approximately G-M color, VS-SI clarity. Length of tassel from the top of the largest diamond to the bottom of the seed pearl strands is approximately 3¼ inches. Please note that the pearls have not been tested for natural origin.
