Of buckle design, set with round and baguette diamonds, alternating with links set with calibré-cut rubies, length 7⅝ inches, numbered 1640; circa 1930.

Condition

In good overall condition, with minor surface scratches to the mounting commensurate with age. The clasp does not close securely and would benefit from the attention of a jeweler. Mounting tests as platinum. The rubies are medium to medium light, slightly purplish red to strongly purplish red, slightly to moderately included, with some surface reaching inclusions and surface abrasions to facet edges visible under 10x magnification. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 13.00 carats, are approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity. Maximum width approximately ¾ inch.
