The textured rectangular styptor case highlighted with a band of calibré-cut sapphires, opening to reveal a mirror, cigarette compartment, powder compact, tortoisheshell comb, lipstick compartment and cigarette lighter, measuring approximately 153 x 120 x 20mm, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, maker's mark, fabric carrying case.
Condition
Cigarette compartment signed La Minaudière de Van Cleef & Arpels, powder compact numbered 15 45171, lipstick compartment numbered 1527, lighter numbered 44332 and signed VCA metal. Maker's mark for VCA stamped on thumbpiece. 'Styptor' stamped to inside lid. Powder compact designed as a smaller version of minaudière, without the sapphires, opens to reveal a lidded powder compartment and a mirror, measures approximately 70 x 50 x 5mm, some spots of tarnish to mirror. Cigarette compartment contains period cigarettes. Some lipstick residues. Hinges in good working order, some areas of tarnish. Gross weight approximately 670.4 grams. Overall condition good. With fabric carrying case.
