Condition
The canvas has been lined. Areas of fine craquelure. The work appears to be in good overall condition and is clean and ready to hang. UV light inspection reveals an area of restoration, possibly a repair to an old hole or tear, to the upper left of the central figure. There are some spots of retouching to the framing edges. Some minor flecks of retouching to the figure's cheek, neck and arm. Some further minor specks elsewhere. Held in a decorative gilt frame and slip.
