Condition

Lined. The work presents well, aside from faint, scattered fine craquelure, a few isolated pin dots of accretion, and pin dots of loss with some lifting in the clouds at upper center and on and around the figure group. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green. There are a few finely applied dashes of inpainting on and around the figure group at left and to the horse's front legs. Possible reinforcements to the darkest pigments on the horse's mane. For a full treatment report from Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc., please inquire with the department.
