The offered lot is one of the last pieces, with the marble bowl à la grenouille (lot 54), realised by Diego Giacometti before his death. In 1983, the present owner entrusted the artist with a large commission for his Parisian apartment. Hence, in 1984, Diego Giacometti delivers a staircase, some occasional tables, some chairs, some doors handles, a set of four screens and a few objects, including the offered lot.
