Linke title: Gaine Louis XV galbée, marqueterie de couleur, 3 faces. This model was manufactured from 1885 to 1913. It is a very early model in Linke’s repertoire and is almost certainly one of the pedestals drawn in Linke’s first Daybooks, but is too difficult to identify with certainty. A popular model, it continued to be made with three sides of marquetry until circa 1913. Several pairs with all four sides inlaid with foliage were made between 1924 and 1930, the last pair part of the extensive order for the King of Egypt.
