text surah al-Nisa (IV) vv.24-147Arabic manuscript on paper, 15 pages plus 1 fly-leaf, 13 lines to the page, the text in black naskh divided into two black lines alternated with 3 lines of gold thuluth, ruled in gold, flanked by panels with gold geometric sections, verses separated by pointed gold roundels, gold round verse markers in the margins, f.1b with a polychrome and gold heading, in gilt-stamped binding
Condition
In good condition, the margins are clean with only minor stains, pencil European number marked on the lower bottom, the illumation birght as viewed, the binding, which is likely to be contemporaneous but later associated, is in good condition, with minor stickers and labels on reverse, as viewed.
