of rectangular form standing on four short legs, comprising a lengthways-sliding lockable lid, opening to reveal a slik-lined interior with one small division, the exterior decorated with a diamond-shaped pattern with arabesques on the upper surface composed of applied elements in tortoiseshell, mother-of-pearl, metal wire, the edges with ivory and wood marquetry borders

Condition

In good condition, probably re-lined with silk on interior, some slight fraying to silk along edges and minor stains, few little replacements throughout - to wood, bone, ivory and mother of pearl sections, including some erplacements with horn, as viewed.
