Condition
Overall in very good condition. This elegant pair of armchairs is very well-preserved and epitomizes Royere's timeless sense of style. The fabric has recently been sensitively and professionally reupholstered in vibrant golden-hued velvet in keeping with the original design. The fabric presents with some very minor areas of superficial abrasion to the surface concentrated to the arms that are not visually distracting. The wooden feet with very light scuffing consistent with age and gentle use. The brass feet present with some scuffing and areas of minor discoloration concentrated to the upper and lower ends. Offered en suite with lot 19, this is a rare opportunity to acquire two identical pairs of well-preserved chairs by the iconic mid-century designer.
