Condition
Overall in very good condition. The limestone table top presents with some surface irregularities that are inherent to the material. Its inherent crevices with some surface dirt and tarnish consistent with age and not visually distracting. The edges and corners of the limestone with some occasional small losses, consistent with age and use and not visually distracting. The iron frame with some occasional light scuffing, surface scratches, and minor loss to patina concentrated to the corner edges as well as along the upper and lower borders. The legs with minor surface scratches, scuffing, and occasional signs of oxidation consistent with age and concentrated to joint areas and along the border edges. The ball-shaped brass elements with some light tarnish and signs of oxidation. This table was included in the exhibition "Jean Royère, décorateur à Paris" at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, October 8, 1999-January 30, 2000, and is accompanied by an original folded map of the exhibition, which registers the table as #15.
