A detailed chart of the southern coastline of Singapore, the New Harbour, Ayer Brani Island and part of Blakan Mati Island, by John Turnbull Thomson (1821–1884). Thomson was a British civil engineer and artist, who was a leading figure in the development of the early infrastructure of Singapore and New Zealand in the nineteenth-century.
