Overall in very good age appropriate condition. There are natural knots, irregularities and separations in the wood grain, typical for Inland fir, and this has been reinforced with wood infill in areas by Molesworth at the time of production. The wood surfaces with minor and faint scattered scratches, nicks, and minor areas of wear or rubbing and discoloration, consistent with age and gentle use. One chair with a separation to the front proper right foot measuring approximately 2 1/8 in.; the same chair with an area of abrasions to the rear proper left foot measuring approximately 1 ½ x 1 5/8 in. The chairs have recently been reupholstered, and the hide and the leather both in excellent, clean condition. All brass tacks are present. Originally this set was likely upholstered in zebra and the current pony upholstery is keeping with this teme. Of slightly smaller proportion that some of Molesworth's larger club chair designs, these chairs are deep and incredibly comfortable, presenting very well overall.
