Condition

Uexamined out of frame. The sheet does not appear to have been laid down but has been adhered to a mount with at least two tabs of adhesive tape. The sheet undulates slightly in places. The upper edge of the sheet is serated, and the lower corners are shaped in keeping with a sketchbook sheaf. There are a couple of very minor creases in the lower left corner, with one or two possible more minor instances elsewhere. There are one or two minor nicks to the extreme upper edge. There appears to be some fading to the ink. There is staining to the edges of the sheet, probably as a result of a previous mount. There are some possible flecks of foxing. The sheet is time stained. There are one or two accretions. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is float mounted within a simple wooden frame and held behind perspex. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
