Condition
The canvas has been lined. There is a layer of surface dirt and frame abrasions to the edges. There are scattered areas of craquelure to the left of the central figures and in a few places elsewhere. UV light reveals areas of retouching to the left of the central figures and scattered areas of retouching and infilling in places elsewhere. Held in a gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
