Half of right hand border, lower edge of field, lower border up to second rosette on left hand side is re-woven, as visible from illustration. Spot re-piling through centre of mihrab probably from old moth damage - also visible from image, probably a different generation from border re-weaving. Small number of scattered spot repairs in remainder of rug. Upper end guard removed, lower one never woven? Otherwise, extant rug is in good condition for age. Pile is 1-2mm with good clear colour and crisp drawing, including a good dark aubergine.
