SEED PEARL AND DIAMOND PENDANT, A DIAMOND CHAIN, AND SEED PEARL PINS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY AND LATE 19TH CENTURY

The pendant of circular design, millegrain-set with circular-cut and rose diamonds and seed pearls, one seed pearl row deficient, the chain set with circular-cut diamonds alternating with figure of eight motifs, early 20th century, and nine pins, each set with a seed pearl terminal, late 19th century, fitted case stamped Hübner.

The nine pins are from Princess Marie Pie de Bourbon-Siciles, Duchess of Parma (1849-1882). Princess Marie Anne de Bourbon Parme states in her inventory: "Un écrin cuir rouge foncé (Hübner) avec 9 épingles à perles. Cadeau de mon mari; les épingles proviennent de la Duchesse Marie Pie". [A dark red leather case (Hübner) with 9 pearl pins. A gift from my husband; the pins come from Duchess Marie Pie].

The pendant with a missing bar. Pearl of white to cream body colour, with good skin an lustre, small pinpoints and growth marks. Diamonds bright and lively, some older that the older, J-I colour, some are I clarity. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with wear. Secure clasp. Total gross weight approximately 21 grams.
