7¾-inch dial with rococo spandrels, applied painted time dial, signed on a recessed painted plaque in the arch Diego Evans, Bolsa Real, Londres, flanked by subsidiary date and tune selection dials, silencio/musica lever at XII, the three train fusee movement with verge escapement, trip repeat striking on a bell, quarter chiming and playing one of four tunes at the hour on a nest of twelve bells with twelve hammers, signed in a cartouche on the backplate as the dial, the case with a domed top and flambeau finials, gilt frieze fret, sunburst side frets, caryatid corners and bracket feet
Condition
Dial paintwork chipped and scratched, hour hand loose but we have it. movement is complete and would just run at cataloguing but is much in need of a clean and service. Case has old minor veneer repairs and losses,marks and cracks throughout. With a winder and a case key. The interior of the base of the case with trade label for Diego Evans, 7 Sweetings Alley, Bolsa Real, Londres and further information in Spanish (dirty and distressed).
