Condition
The canvas has not been lined and is somewhat undulated on its stretcher. There is a pattern of hairline dying craquelure, however not too distracting. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals a thick and even layer of residual varnish and a few isolated spots of cosmetic retouching. This work would benefit from a light re-tensioning and surface cleaning. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
