Condition

In overall very good condition with minor surface dirt, notably to the crevices, and wear to the patina consistent with age and handling. The bronze on a black marble base, which was not mentioned in the catalogue, with some chips along the edges.

Four of the seven casts by Valsuani are in museums: one in the St. Louis Art Museum, Missouri (inv. no. 119: 1969), another in the Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel (inv. no. P.84), another in the Detroit Institute of Art, Michigan (Inv. no. 70.202) and the last one in the National Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers (inv. No. IG6751).
