Condition

This photograph, on a slick white mount, is in generally very good condition. There is faint silvering in the darkest areas of the print, primarily at the periphery. Under close inspection in raking light there are a few pinpoint-sized impressions, a faint scratch on the sitter's thigh, and scattered deposits of retouching, presumably original. The following are visible on the mount: scattered foxmarks and wear to the edges with some attendant yellowing. On the reverse of the mount '76:010:045,' '45' (circled), 'AN,' and 'X-EW100' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil. The reverse is extensively foxed and yellowed, especially at the edges.
