Overall the condition of the marble is good, with minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. The index finger and little finger of the proper left hand are lost. There are some abrasions to the tip of the nose. There are dark residues at the flattened back, presumably from a previous attachment. There are also three circular holes at the back to facilitate attachment to the metal stand. The modern metal stand is in very good condition with minor general wear, including some oxidation.
