Condition

Overall the condition of the comb is very good, with minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor losses to the thin teeth of the comb. There is some warping to some of the larger teeth. There are =some minor chips to some of the corners, as well as to the outer edge on one side. There are several minor losses to the bone (or ivory) tracery. There is wear to the fabric, including fraying and minor losses. There is some very minor stable splitting to the wood, consistent with the material.
