Condition

The canvas is lined. An elaborate composition reads well. An L-shaped scratch, that is barely noticeable is on the upper, center quadrant. Some tiny specs of loss are visible along the edges. Some discolored spots of retouching are visible in the foregrounds, possibly addressing old losses, like on the lowest clouds at far right, scattered on some of the robes, and on the bottom, left center of the ground. Inspection under UV reveals a thick varnish, though scattered, small spots of retouches are here and there. The green pants of the figure holding the hand of the child in blue fluoresce differently. Offered in a giltwood frame with decoration on all four edges.
