Condition
Hinged to mount in top corners. Very light discolouration in narrow band around the edges, presumably from old adhesive/mounting. Small brown stain in top right corner. Another, very light, brown spot towards upper left corner. Very lightly foxed throughout. Condition of chalk very good and fresh.

Despite the old attribution on the reverse, giving this drawing to Joseph Heintz the Elder (1564-1609), the technique seems more French than German, and is somewhat reminiscent of the style of Pierre Brébiette (1598-1650).
