Condition
Window mounted. Part of a lunette. A repaired tear lower section of sheet towards the lower right corner. Some oil stains at the right margin. Other light brown stains throughout and surface dirt. Pen and ink and red chalk remain fresh and vibrant. sold unframed.

We are most grateful to Anne Varick Lauder, who, on the basis of an image, has confirmed the attribution to Battista Franco and dates the drawing to the artist's late Venetian period, c.1552-1561.
