Condition
The canvasboard appears sound. There is a layer of varnish and light surface dust. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition. A reading under violet light is made difficult by the nature of the varnish, but there appears to be no sign of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held in a painted wooden slid and a polished wooden frame behind glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
