With Frost & Reed, London (no. 51569).

The canvas is lined and tightly pressed. The painting shows a lovely decorative image. There is a small filling of about 2cm at top right that is barely noticeable. What appears to be an old horizontal stretcher bar mark that possibly has had some retouching runs horizontally an inch from the inner frame edge. There appears to be some spots of retouches on the shadows of the vase that fluoresce under the inspection of UV. Some of the flowers may also have some thin lines of retouches that are not too distracting, like for example on the bottom pedals at right of the pink peony. Smaller, and more scattered spots of retouches fluoresce on the table at the bottom right and left quadrant. The paintings could hang in its present state and is offered in an elaborately carved gilded frame.
