Condition

The canvas is relined. Overall this picture presents very well to the naked eye and is clean and should be hung in its current condition. UV light reveals hardly any retouches. There are a couple of old retouches in the craquelure at the left but this is not visible to the naked eye. The flesh tones of the figures as well as the colored clothing are all well preserved and without any losses or damages. In an elaborately carved and guilt wood frame, with some minor chips to the gilding notably at the top of the frame.
