Condition
The canvas is original and is slightly loose. There are a number of slight pulls in the canvas towards the right edge, running vertically, with very fine lines of associated cracking. There are a couple of minor imperfections with two small tears to the canvas at the lower right corner. There is a slight vertical push towards the left side of the canvas, just above centre. There is a faint diagonal scuff in the upper left quadrant. There is some minor surface dirt and scattered scuffs throughout. Subject to the above, the work appears in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. The work is held in a painted wooden frame.
